NineSigma Gives Back

NineSigma is pleased to announce a new program to support social and environmental responsibility and corporate philanthropy. For years we have been working with our corporate clients to address their sustainability and other innovation needs through Innovation Requests and Intelligence programs. We have been successful in finding new, often breakthrough, solutions to our clients’ most challenging needs. As a key player in the open innovation industry, it is time for us to give back. We would like to leverage our search and intelligence capabilities, along with our unparalleled access to the global innovation community, to help address the major social and environmental issues that impact our lives, our communities and the world.

In celebration of our 10th Anniversary this year, NineSigma will donate its Intermediary Services by providing one free Innovation Request or Challenge (RFP) each quarter to qualifying organizations, starting in January 2010. We are actively seeking non-profit and for-profit organizations anywhere in the world that are committed to solving global social and environmental issues. We strongly believe that our open innovation services can effectively be applied to help identify critical technologies and expertise that will accelerate the potential for solutions to even the most endemic issues, such as hunger and climate change.

Types of issues we will consider for the Free RFP Program. (The following is a representative list and is not comprehensive):

  • Global climate change
  • Pollution reduction and control
  • Alternative energy sources
  • Disaster relief efforts
  • Food access and distribution
  • Local / distributed agriculture methods
  • Development of local economies
  • Affordable / sustainable shelter
  • Access to clean water

Who qualifies for a Free RFP? We will consider applications from corporations, non-profit organizations, public or private research labs or government entities. Certain guidelines will apply. Complete and return an application to NineSigma to be considered for this program.
